Radiotherapy, the main treatment for cancer
Radiotherapy is a local treatment for cancer.
The principle is the use of ionising radiation to stop cancer cells from dividing. It can be used alone or in combination with surgery or chemotherapy. Half of all cancers are treated with radiotherapy. Generally, sessions are carried out on an outpatient basis, patients come in for a few minutes to receive their treatment and can then go home.
High precision technologies
We offer treatments tailored to each cancer and each patient. Depending on your pathology, your radiotherapist can offer you the most suitable modern radiotherapy technique. We are able to offer all scientifically validated techniques: conformational radiotherapy, volumetric intensity modulation, ArcTherapy, electrontherapy, intra-cranial and extra-cranial stereotaxic radiotherapy, radiosurgery, 4D scanner, monitoring of breathing, surface repositioning.
A vast technical fleet
Our fleet is made up of five latest generation Varian accelerators: three Halcyons and two Truebeams. We also have a 4D scanner, to perform treatment simulations and allow the monitoring of tumours which are mobile with breathing.
